"Geometric Ideas for Guitar" is a collection of improvisations by guitarist Heikki Ruokangas. Instead of relying on harmonic concepts, the sounds of these improvisations are created by utilizing Ruokangas’ study of geometric shapes portrayed on guitar fretboard. The visual shapes as an approach to music creates an interesting opportunities to broaden musical landscapes beyond the confines of harmony. With these 12 improvisations Ruokangas offers his vision to the subject of geometric shapes as a source of music. Download includes music sheet of geometric shapes.
